Rooted Baby Platybelodon Grangeri Tooth
Here is an awesome baby Platybelodon grangeri tooth with partial roots. An early relative to the Mastodon and also known as the Shovel Tusker for having a flat lower tusk. This little gem was found in the Guanhe fossil beds in the Gansu Province of China. Miocene, approx. 15 to 20 Million years old.Specimen is 2.08" long by 1.31" wide and has most of it`s roots. These specimens are getting very hard to come by, just look around the web.
